Friday night and Shabbat in Tel Aviv: what’s open
Tel Aviv stays open on Shabbat, unlike much of Israel: bars, restaurants and clubs open on Friday night and Saturday, though fewer run a happy hour (20 on Friday and 37 on Saturday on our list). Buses and trains stop from Friday afternoon to Saturday night, so plan taxis or the free weekend minibuses. Updated 2026-11-01.
